Stingblade is designed to safely remove jellyfish micro-barbs from the skin without activating them, preventing secondary stinging and pain.
The product comes in two versions: the Stingblade Personal, which is portable for immediate use while swimming, and the Stingblade Professional, for a more detailed treatment on the beach or in a beach hut.
Stingblade aims to educate the public about jellyfish stings and provide a modern, safe, and much-needed solution for the increasing problem of jellyfish stings affecting various sea lovers and professionals.

With a lifelong passion for water sports and swimming in the sea, I’ve always been drawn to the freedom and adventure that the ocean offers. Summer of 2023, France
Under the radiant sun of the summer of 2023 in France, the coastal scene was hauntingly tranquil, lacking the usual laughter and splashes of frequent ocean swimmers.
The open waters, once a playground for summer joy, now stood as a testament to the profound impact of this aquatic menace.
As Mark surveyed the empty shores, he felt a surge of urgency. The realisation struck him like a tidal wave – it was time to expedite the release of Stingblade.
With a resolute commitment, he understood that Stingblade was not just a product that he needed for himself, however, it was the antidote to the pervasive fear that held the entire seaside hostage.
The urgency wasn’t just about a product release; it was about reviving the heartbeat of coastal communities and empowering individuals to reclaim the waters they once loved.
I met Mark for our usual personal training session after he got back from holiday.
To my horror he had been severely stung by jellyfish on one of his swims, and he showed me the extent of the damage to his skin which spanned his side, back and leg.
He told me that he had acted quickly by using some disposable razors to shave the stung area to remove the barbs. He said doing this meant the area recovered much more quickly and didn’t worsen.
This is where the idea for Stingblade was born, during our gym session.

We want to avoid more cases like this, where the first thing the lifeguard did after Danny (pictured) got stung, was to press down on the sting with a wipe and a bottle of vinegar.
Unknowingly due to misinformation, unfortunately all the lifeguard ended up doing was puncturing the jellyfish’s micro-barbs, therefore, releasing the sting’s toxins right into Danny’s back, very close to his spine — which could’ve caused all sorts of nerve damage.
The aftermath was that Danny’s back had bubbled (…that’s the toxins under the skin) and he was sore for months, until he could safely get back into the waters.
Instead, the lifeguard should have used a Stingblade, in order to help assist Danny scraping off the micro-barbs, instead of just popping them into his back by pressing them down.
In Tracy’s own words, the sting from a Portuguese Man-of-War was not just painful—it was life-altering. “The moment the venom coursed through my veins, it was as if a switch had been flipped inside me,” Tracy recalls.
The intense shock and surge of adrenaline triggered a cascade of health issues, wreaking havoc on her thyroid and overall well-being.
Tracy experienced a frightening loss of vision, a stark testament to the potency of the jellyfish’s venom. Days turned into months, and months into years, and Tracy found herself engaged in a relentless battle for her health.
In the sea? Stay sting-free!
