How to assemble

To assemble Stingblade Personal, feed the armband through the top gap of the Stingblade.

Once fed through, loop it back over itself as shown in the diagram.

Once you’ve formed a loop, you can adjust the size of the armband to better fit onto your arm.

How to use

To ensure that the armband is secure for when going swimming, flatten the velcro end of the strap, so that it is firmly attached to itself.

When needing to use the tool, unstrap the velcro strap, and remove the armband from your arm — so that you can properly hold the tool in your hand.

When actually using the tool to remove micro-barbs, simply glide the tool up and down the stung area, following the S T I N G principles.

How micro-barbs work

The Grab

Once the micro-barb comes into contact with the skin, it locks down by inserting a sharp sting-like grip above the skin.

The Sting

Once attached, the micro-barb inserts powerful stings under the skin itself, locking itself with barbs.

The Release Mechanism

The moment the membrane of the micro-barb is touched, it pushes the bag of venom down under the skin.

This is why we recommend that you do not touch it. Instead, scrape the base of the skin with a Stingblade.

The Stingblade Code

Stop. Don't touch the skin

Stop. Don’t touch the skin: Touching and rubbing the area can push stingers into the body.

Treat With Stingblade

Treat with Stingblade: Thoroughly scrape the affected area to remove all Jellyfish stingers.

Immerse In hot water

Immerse in hot water: As hot as the patient can stand, without burning. This deactivates the toxin. Should you not have access to hot water, you can use sea water instead.

Never Use cold fresh water

Never use cold fresh water: Fresh water can release more toxin from the stingers.
